So I load a 1k file and play it. The memory shows two frames loaded per one frame actually played. I'm using float depth...1:1

Thanks,

Eric

This would be the case if your View is set to Output as two frames (the foreground and the alpha channel, I think) need to be cached. If you set your View to Foreground, only 1 frame will be cached.

If all you are doing is roto, you can set your session to 8 bit while you roto and change back to float for rendering if you wnat to get more frmaes into memory.

Output was the key. Thanks Marco. Client has images so dark, float is the only way to see the detail.

this brings up another point. I notice when tracking, the tracker image dialog retains the look of the image before I mess with the display settings. As this is an extremely dark image, does it track the image using my adjusted display settings?

Thanks again.

No, the display settings affect the display only.

Anyway to select individual tracker points in the display window? I know you can do this in the timeline, but I guess I'm a creature of habit...

Have a good weekend!

Just click on a Tracker in the display window to select it.
