is there a way to replace footage that you have painted and retain the paint?
For instance if you have done some paint work and the original plates were color corrrected seperately. Can you "re-run" your paint work over the new footage?

It seems like the paint is tied to specific footage. When I right click on the footage a "replace" with new footage my paint strokes disappear.

If it is not possible to replace footage while painting is it possible this could be done in future versions?

There's no way to do this in Silhouette.

The only way to retain your paint is to get the old CC values, invert and apply to your painted frames, then apply the new CC values.

Sorry....

Since Silhouette is a raster based paint system, the answer is no.

raster based not vector based, got it. Thanks for the quick answers.
Being able to swap footage would be swell but other than that sfx seems to be really headed in the right direction with its paint app.

Maybe with just being able to be apply trackers paint strokes and we have the holy grail that all paint/roto artists have been hoping for.

Thanks again!
