apologies if I'm missing something.

but is there a way to paint an alpha black?

I know this had been brought up before, and I thought it had been looked into and fixed prior to 2.3.

If there's a way, could someone explain how to me? I've got dirty keys that need a quick cleanin', and painting black with the color brush gives me white in the alpha. but I'm running on very little sleep here, might be forgetting something...

thanks!

To paint black into the Alpha, you can do one of the following:
1) Make sure only Alpha is selected in Paint group and paint using the Eraser brush.

or

2) Make sure only Alpha is selected in Paint group, Paint with any color but set the Alpha slider to 0. The Alpha slider is located below the color picker.

thanks marco!

it turns out it does behave that way using your EXR module, but not our custom one (which gets rid of the 2.2 gamma in favor of true linear like shake).

we'll have to sort out what ours is doing differently to the alpha channel.
