Here's the kind of thing I need to do:

Tell me if Roto will allow me to quickly and easily extract the speaker and podium from the picture so that I can put him on a different background. This is a 2-hour video, so rotoscoping by hand is out of the question. I need to be able to make an initial mask, then have the application animate it for me based on the first frame. Will Roto create an animated mask that'll follow the edges?

I was not able to download your sequence, so I have not seen it. Although Silhouette utilizes keyframing and motion tracking to animate masks, it will not automatically take a mask from frame one and animate it so that'll follow the edges.

Thanks for the reply. I'd really like to see some video tutorial examples of what Roto can do, but I can't find anything on the internet so far.

Both the Pixel Corps (http://www.pixelcorps.com/) and FxPhd (http://www.fxphd.com/) provide Silhouette training. I know FxPhd is working on movie tutorials and Pixel Corps will be in the coming months.
