hi guys, thanks for that commotion shape importer, got it sorted. only, in the recent project i've imported silhouette seems to have adjusted the 'tensioning' of some of my shapes, so that not all of them fit onto the media any more?! are you aware of this? I'll try some other projects to see if I can pick a trend.
thankyou

This shouldn't happen. Are you certain the media is the same? I don't believe Commotion stores pixel aspect in the file. It only stores width and height of the image.

By tensioning, do you mean variable tension b-splines? If so, then yes - we won't be a perfect match on b-splines with non-standard tension. Every b-spline implementation uses a different range - we had to guess at theirs and then guess at a mapping from theirs to ours.

yeah, its the b-spline, mostly theyre spot on, just a couple of corners on a square type garbage matte had 'loosened' off . Quickly fixed with the alt - point click 'global tighten' - I like that! I feared everything was out but it seems to be only hard corners.

Perry, if you could "detect" hard corners in the importer, we could just set our repeat to 3 instead of adjusting the tension. Doable?

I already do that. At least I thought I did. My guess is that the corners in 2.2 are different from the corners in 4.1 (what I have to test with). Not having the 2.2 version is a handicap for me.

ya, unfortunately 2.2 runs on a dinosauric hardware dongle, and to my knowledge pinnacle doesn't sell the licenses any more.

but then again, that's why we have you guys! :o
