for some reason i can't get shake tracking files to import? if i choose simple format, navigate to .txt, S3 gives me "can't find tracking data in this file" dialogue box.

if i choose "tracker data-shake" i still can only read .txt files... but nothing happens after import.. no dialogue box, no magic?

please help if...

You should be using the Tracker Data - Shake option and if you want to see the imported Shake tracks, you need to have the Track tool selected.

are you kicking the tracks out from shake as .txt? you can do this by right clicking the track in the parameters window and choosing save to file, or some nodes (tracker I think) have a "save" option at the bottom.

:o

Thanks guys that helped out a lot! my tracking data comes in fine...

now the bad news...

when i select the four point track, imported from shake, and apply it to a layer in S3.. some crazy math happens and my corner pin track gets all jigiddy jaggedy, mulitplied more then what the actual track is showing??

the tracks individually are fine, even when you apply them separately to a layer, perfect. problem arises when i use them as 4 corner pin?

i'm going to keep experimenting on this.. and try to upload a demonstration later on the results i'm getting...

so yup "jiggidy jaggedy" is in full effect. on my home box i imported my shake track file into S3 and the tracks are perfect.. apply a single trk to a layer, golden. as soon as you apply the 4 as a corner pin.. nutso!!!!

We're running the 4 points through the planar tracker engine, and obviously it's having problems in the 4 points don't flow well. The test data we had during development behaved much nicer.

If anyone is willing to send us some real-world test footage, we promise to use only for in-house development.
