recently made the mistake of working on a project using a selected frame range. 600-800. sfx imported the the frames: 1-200. All worked well until I tried to edit the project two weeks later this time importing the entire frame range 1-800. shapes obviously didnt fit and project stopped at 200. Had me stumped. Which reminded me that the dirty-swear-word-wash-my-mouth-out-with-diesel 'commotion' improted the first frame as 600, thus the project fits if you decide to open the entire frame range at a later date.

so my question being, could the delightful sfx import the first frame as 600 also and have the ability to know when the frame range has been extended? Or what the hell was I thinking importing f 600- 800 in the first place.

oh, and the render workrange for some reason files up with an extra 100 or so added. ie 600 becomes 700 as it files out.

thanks for listening, I need a beer.

It looks like we could use a more robust time line permitting ranges of frames and keys to be slid, cut, and pasted. Please bear with us. We're all tied up with NAB prep right now and will get back to addressing your feedback after the show.

If any of you guys are coming to NAB, please stop by. In addition to the pleasure of meeting you folks in person, we'll get a chance to show you a preview of Silhouette Roto's first sibling.

sweet as Perry. we're just spitting these things out as we come across them. We appreciate you're working your guts out at the moment.

Unfortunately I wont be able to make the NAB this year but I am definitely looking forward to meeting any sibling of silhouette roto. :)

I checked, there is something you can try now.

If you select all the shapes in the short session, and then Copy, you should be able to paste them into a larger session. Then (and this could use some improvement), you can select the range of keyframes in the timeline and then slide them to the place they need to be.

I think we'll have to wait until next week.

But, you could ask Milton. He should be able to figure it out.

so I selected all the shapes in the short session, and then copy. in the large session I could not paste?

The clipboard is cleared when you load a new project. If you have two sessions within the same project, you should be able to copy/paste between them.

thanks, got it to work. as for sliding the keyframes to the place they need to be. - painful.
