zoom preference feature

hello,

i'm not even sure this is possible or even worth while but i'll throw it out there in either case.

in an effort to cut down on scrolling, panning and repositioning the work area after a zoom in or zoom out i was wondering if it would be possible to have the software know which shape is the active shape and center that in the work area every time you zoom in or zoom out. does that make sense?

as it seems to be implemented now, the zoom center is focused on the position of the cursor.

i suppose what i'm requesting would just be another preference as to how that zoom in/zoom out feature works based on the selected working spline.

how would everyone else feel about something like this? worth while or no?

Sounds like a good idea to me, but I'd implement it as a hotkey which focuses on the "selection". That way you could select one or more shapes or trackers, hit a key, and have the view zoom to fit those selected objects (plus some slop).
