I'm working with 1920x1080 frames. A ram preview in AE presents a very smooth playback of image, but when I enter SR the playback appears choppy. AE uses a frame playback meter that shows you what the playback rate is, can this be displayed in SR for confirmation? Could this be a limitation of my video card: NVIDIA Quadro4 750 XGL or W2K? Thanks.

that is definitely a limitation of the video card. I have similar issues with my 900XGL. Silhouette is aware of the limitation, and I think it remains to be seen whether or not they'll adapt the software for a lower denominator of video cards. I hope so...
The list at http://www.silhouettefx.com/rotop.htm shows the currently supported cards.

Better playback is coming in the SA version and will make its way into the plugin in some form.
As for the video card issue, we had to draw the line somewhere. I've already added support for older cards without pixel shaders for viewing of the alpha. But the full power of the software requires a pixel-shader capable card. The SA will enable some pretty neat features if it has the right card.

SA is stand-alone.
