View Full Version : Adjusting B-spline tension

I am finding that when alt-dragging on a b-spline point, to adjust the tension, i am really having to scrub too much to get from tight to smoothe... often needing four to five furious scrubs of the mouse to get it anywhere near where i want.
Is there a way of making the 'sensitivity' of the tension controll a little more responsive... as this seriously slows down the workflow

Yeah, this is possible.
What do others think?
I agree. I'd prefer to drag 5-6 cms (or at least one 'drag' with mouse/pen) at most to get a response. :)

i dont' use the feature but i agree that it should be tightened to speed workflow.
a feature i would use would be this one though...
having a hotkey (there's that word again) that when activated would let me cycle through three preset degrees of magnetism or 'tightness'.
one being a tight corner, one a medium pull and one fully loose.
i'd use that before i used a slider approach.
just my thoughts on the topic.
thanks,

I agree you should get the effect you want on the first pull or so.
you can cycle the degrees of magnetism or 'tightness' with a right click, I use this all the time.

alt clicking on a point does this now, if I understand correctly. cycles through corner, loose, etc.
although it suffers from the current bugs w/ splines that make adding points a problem. I have a very hard time trying to get the points to do much of anything when alt-clicking on linux.
Could the "tightness" feature be a user defined pref, perhaps on a scale of 1-10? 1 being what it's at now, and 10 being super high strung where you drag 2 cm's and it's a corner?
