can't seem to get the shake plugin up and running.
shake plug installed locally
in my usr home /nreal/include/startup folder, there is a libsilhouette.so file
then in /nreal/include/startup/silhouette, there is a modules folder and my license
when I launch shake, I get no silhouette tab nor is there any mention of anything silhouette oriented in the shell.
Could this be because our silhouette install resides on the network as opposed to a local /opt/ folder? is there a way to specify a path to the app?

Silhouette adds an icon to the Image tab.

right - I wasn't getting that. but our systems guys seem to have fixed it so at least the plugin shows up.
So now I add the silhouette node, and save a project. but when clicking edit project, it doesn't launch silhouette. It asks for a path to the silhouette application directory, which I give it (2.1.0.2 on our network). I click ok, and nothing happens. no info in the shell.
any ideas?

Do you guys add any custom shell scripts to launch Silhouette, or do you just type "silhouette" (or the path to silhouette) from the command line when you launch it normally?
Can you post the exact path to your Silhouette dir you mentioned?

ah - you know what it might be - what if our command to run the software was different from yours?
when you switched to "silhouette" as the command to launch the software, we didn't adopt it. We kept sfxroto as the command. had some probs - sfxroto is shorter, easier to spell, and already a habit.
so we change the shell script from "silhouette" to "sfxroto" each time a new version is released. Could that be causing it not to launch?

you beat me to it.
our path is something like /vol/apps/sfxroto-2.1.0.2/

Yeah, the shake plugin assumes the binary name is "silhouette". Just make a symlink and you should be fine.

got it up. thanks for the help.
I'm getting the demo dots (even with the license in place), but will troubleshoot that later and holler if I can't get it straight. cool!
