Hello All,
In the manual it says that you can access the Gamma in a 8 or 16 bit session; and Exposure, White point, Black point when in 'Float'.

If I right click on a session & change to 8bit 16bit or float, I cannot access the 'Display dropdown menu'. The dropdown menu is always greyed out.

I am using Roto v1.0.6.1.

Am I doing something wrong? as i cannot seem to get this to work.

Regards,
Carlos

Those features are only available if you have a graphics card with pixel shaders. Check your Console - it probably has a message about pixel shaders not being supported.

Hello paulmThose features are only available if you have a graphics card with pixel shaders. Check your Console - it probably has a message about pixel shaders not being supported. After listing loads of OpenGL Extensions, I get in the console "OpenGL implementation does not support fragment shaders"
Is that related to "pixel shaders"?

Thanks,
Carlos

Yep. Fragment shaders = pixel shaders.

What kind of graphics card do you have now? You can get a cheap nvidia card with the necessary features for less than $80 these days.

Yes, i have only tried it on a couple of geforce4 machines, so I might try a geforce 6600 GT,, as they seem to offer good price/performance.

Do you have any 'good price/performance' suggestions, that could also be used with dual DVI LCD, and be able to work with video & HDTV resolutions?

Thanks,;)

If you want to spend the money, the 6800GT or 6600GT is a GREAT card. I am using the 6800 GT with dual DVI monitors, both running at 1600x1200. It is silky smooth.
